Remind your audience why hugs are the best and why we need them.
Back in the 80s, Kevin Zaborney noticed that between Christmas and Valentine’s Day, people aren’t as happy as they normally are. He created Hugging Day in 1986 as an appropriately affectionate response. It was originally designed to be an in-person event to get people sharing their emotions. But it can be tough to get that kind of physical contact these days depending on your living situation. To celebrate Hugging Day, hug whoever you share your space with. Or give a friend or relative a call to let them know you’re with them in spirit. It’s like an e-hug.
