Celebrate one of the greatest instruments to ever exist.
Bartolomeo Cristofori, an Italian maker of musical instruments, changed the world as we know it by inventing the piano around the year 1700. It was originally known as the “gravicembalo col piano e forte” which roughly translates to “a harpsichord that can play soft and loud noises”. Thankfully, this was shortened to “piano” to save everyone the trouble of saying its original name. It was Nils Frahm, a prolific German pianist and composer, who created Piano Day. Frahm is famous for his fusion of classical piano and electronic music and launched the day back in 2015. He created the day, simply put, to celebrate the piano and everything associated with it.
Celebrate Piano Day the easy way. Upload this video to your social channel and add a link to one of your favorite classical (or modern) piano compositions in the description. Increase audience engagement by asking them what their favorite piano-based songs are.
