Celebrate everything garlic with a cheeky Instagram story.
Listen up, everyone. The only reason you shouldn’t be using garlic is if you’re on a FODMAP diet. Otherwise, every meal you eat should be full of the stuff. It makes anything you cook taste incredible (the more the better) and it has a whole bunch of glorious health benefits. It may technically not be a ‘superfood’ like kale or legumes… but when it elevates every dish it’s added to, it’s pretty darn super to us. If that wasn’t enough, garlic can also combat common colds, reduce blood presure, and improves cholestrol levels which may lower the risk of heart disease. In short: get a handful of cloves, smash them up, and cook them with your next meal.
Side note: did you know Roman Soldiers ate raw garlic to give them courage and inspiration? Maybe it worked, maybe it didn’t — but it certainly gave them bad enough breath to knock out any barbarians they came across.
