There’s only one way to celebrate Limerick Day — share this one with your audience.
Limerick Day celebrates one of the oldest forms of poetry in the book (pun intended). Created by English poet Edward Lear (May 12, 1812 – Jan 29, 1888), limericks are short, sharp, (mostly) funny poems. Limericks consist of five lines. The first two lines rhyme with the fifth line, and the third and fourth lines also rhyme. Limericks are great because just about anyone can write them — no creativity required.
To get into the spirit of Limerick Day, we’ve gone ahead and written one ourselves. Upload it to your social channel and you’re done.
