What kind of video would you like to make today?
Share ideas more effectively with animated typography
When you want to get your message across quickly, and make it memorable and impactful, there’s no better medium than video. From explainer videos to presentations, making a video with animated text and kinetic type is the most powerful way to reach a larger audience, engage them, and help them retain more of your message.
Drive better results for your business
It’s estimated that by 2020, 80% of online traffic will be video. That statistic alone should compel marketers to incorporate video or risk being left behind, but there are more benefits than just sheer popularity.
For one, brands that use video marketing grow their year-on-year revenue 49% faster than brands that don’t.
Moreover, video is the most engaging content medium of all, with more than half of people paying close attention when consuming videos. Perhaps that’s why viewers also retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video, compared to just 10% when reading it in text!
Bottom line: when you want people to remember what they’ve read (and hopefully act on it) presenting it in video format is the best way to make that happen.

Add text to videos in 3 easy steps
To get the most out of Biteable’s kinetic text animator, we’ve got a few tips to help get you on your way.
Choose your favorite text animation template
Biteable gives you access to hundreds of amazing templates for all kinds of videos. For videos with a lot of text, we recommend checking out the Education & Training and Presentation templates. These templates are designed to put the focus on your copy, without distracting from it.
Browse our collection, and once you’ve settled on your favorite, click on Edit this video. Simple as that!
Add your text, images, and other assets
You can edit each scene individually and add more scenes or remove some as you go. Input your text and select your favorite font. Be consistent with your font choice from scene to scene to avoid distracting viewers. If you’ve got images you want to use, you can upload those too. Just be mindful of sizing and image positioning to ensure your text is legible.
Last but not least, double-check your spelling and grammar to ensure your video looks professional.
Add your logo and brand colors for the finishing touch
Add your logo and perhaps a web address so viewers can learn more. Lots of video-makers like to add this on the final slide so it’s the last thing viewers see, and they can immediately take action.
Then click on Color at the top of your screen to choose a color palette. Stick with one of ours or customize your own.
Finally, pick a soundtrack for your video by choosing one of our audio tracks or uploading your own. Try to match the energy and tone of your video to the song you use.
Build your preview, then review it and go back for any last-minute tweaks. When you’re happy, generate your video. Done!
Biteable is the best - never before have my words packed such a punch! Love it.
I used at least seven of the top video services out before coming across Biteable, and only regret I didn't find it sooner. I dropped them all instantly and have been using Biteable ever since!
Next-level strategies to make your animated typography video great
Now you’ve got the basics down, here are a few tips to use Biteable’s text video maker to even greater effect.
Keep your copy succinct
Brevity is the soul of wit — and the key to using text effectively in your video. If you’re using Biteable, it’s a necessity. You can input up to 80 characters per scene (although some title scenes will limit you to less), but remember that less is more. It’s better to add another scene to break up a longer block of copy than it is to try to cram it into one scene. Keep your copy short, sweet, and to the point.
Choose contrasting colors
This step is crucial if your video has a lot of text (that’s why we remind you to check the contrast when you’re choosing colors!) Aim for a color palette that is both cohesive and has enough contrast for your text to be legible.
If you’re not confident in your ability to choose complementary colors, brush up on your color theory, or stick to our default color palettes.
Use our kinetic typography generator to create movement that complements your message
Kinetic typography is the latest trend in design. It sounds fancy, but it really just means type that moves. With Biteable’s kinetic typography generator and templates it’s simple to add movement to your text to great effect. The key here is to not overdo it, and to use movement that brings your text to life and helps you tell your story without distracting from it.
For instance, if you’re talking about how fast your service is, you might have your text race onto the screen. Or if your video is about a surprise announcement, you might choose text that bursts on screen to share your news (we highly recommend our Essentials scene set for this, just click on the template at the top of the page). Have fun experimenting with our kinetic templates to find one that what works for you.
