Change your video’s dimensions

Biteable takes all the guesswork out of getting the right video dimensions. A few clicks and you’ll have the exact shape (aka ratio) you need to fit Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, Stories, and other online platforms.

1. Upload your footage to Biteable

Log in to Biteable, or sign up for free. Choose “Create new video”, or simply click here to get started. Now you can create a video from scratch by clicking “Start with an empty video” or head over to “Templates” toselect from our massive library of premade videos.

You’ll be transported to your first project in the Biteable video editor. Hit ‘Continue’. Then tap the background, followed by “Select background” on the right. Upload your video footage. Or select “Add scenes” to the right of the timeline.

2. Resize your videos for web and mobile

You can change the shape and size of your videos in two ways. The first is with your video settings at the top right of the screen. Here, you can resize your footage to square (1:1), mobile (4:5), story (9:16), or wide (16:9). Remember that different ratios suit different use-cases. If you’re uploading to a social channel, check to see their recommended ratio before exporting.

When you’ve clicked the shape you need, it’s time to give things a fine-tune. Click and drag on the corner of your footage, or use the placement control on the right to zoom your background in and out.

3. Download and export your resized video

Everything looking good? Click “Download” at the top of the screen. Your shapely new video is now ready to export by upgrading to a premium plan.
